Willy Conley, born profoundly deaf, is a writer-photographer who studied biomedical photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He once worked as a medical photographer at leading hospitals in the U.S. before earning certification as a Registered Biological Photographer. Growing up Deaf, he has always understood the world from a different angle. His photos of upside-down water reflections echo that perspective, inviting viewers to reimagine the familiar by seeing it inverted. What might be dismissed as ordinary becomes extraordinary when viewed through a shift in perception. Conley is professor emeritus at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C.
